Circus Krone

winter program
from 1 to 29 March.
All good things come
in threes. For the third
and last time in this
winter's program,
Circus Krone
presents the
residents of Munich
a circus comprised
of tradition and a
circus of the new,
in the Circus Krone
Building on Mars-
straße with 35 artists
from 10 nations.
In 42 individual acts,
they present all facets
of classical and modern
circus artistry.

Freely styled after the slogan "salto of the sensations" a universe of
astonishment, sensuous pleasure and unique emotions awaits you.
A true "salto global one" with spectacular acrobat, hilarious clowns,
wild and less wild animals. We cordially invite you to the 3rd show of
the winter season - a show ranging from fantastic acrobatic artistry
to the most beautiful aspects of classical circus.
We present acts to have on the edge of your seat and and the delightful
"hello Robbie" show.
90 years Circus Krone Munich. A proud anniversary that gives cause for
celebrating. A circus building built nine decades ago has become a land-
mark in the Bavarian State capital. Carl Krone built the edifice during the
soviet unrests of 1918/19. It has been since twice completely renovated.
Roughly 50 million enthusiastic spectators have witnessed some 272
world class circus programs, presented by spectacular performers who
embody Circus Krone's high standard of excellence.
There are circuses - and there is Circus Krone.

The Spectacular Circus Krone Orchestra, under the baton
of band leader, Markus Jaichner provides the outstanding
musical accompaniment.

NIKOLAI TOVARICH

Nikolai Tovarich has this winter also
assumed the task of making public announcements
and the duties as ringmaster. He announces the
various performances and offers other information
to ensure smooth operational sequence.

THE HOHHOT-TROUPE
(China - Inner Mongolia / first time in Munich)

| Banner artistry in skillful variations |
|
They present banner artistry from Inner Mongolia. With genial concepts, interjected
with dance and spectacular artistic impressions, the five circus artists present a
sense of power as they leap through the manège with flags fluttering in the manege.
Skillfully, they toss the richly decorated bamboo staffs into the air, twirl the objects
and allow the banners to create mystical pattern in the manege. They are true
artists of their cultural heritage. They have mastered art of artistic perfection.

MG-TEAM

| Sensuous roller skate artistry |
|
Welcome to the roller skate quintet, the MG Team. The Italian skaters, now in the
fifth generation, exhibit fresh and sassy, lightning fast and high risk maneuvers in the
manege. The brothers and sisters Daniel, Chiarina, Maily, Sharyn and Shannon
Monni whirl over the skater platform and demonstrate breath taking roller actiond.
When they dance the roller skate boogie, then you should prepare yourself for alternating
gasps of concerns and relief. Spectacularly and surely not without being dizzy breathtaking
double and triple spins are performed and the quadruple spin is presented as never before.

| Pachyderm fantasies from India |
|
Here, the heavyweight ambassadors from India dominate the manege
- the elephants.
Like the morning patrol from Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book, they enchant with their
feats in the glamorous Krone style. A weighty pachyderm quartet, that with mind and
trunk momentum proves that also Krone's colossus the circus too need seem.
Whether exotic, fiery temperamental or acrobatic - the elephant ballet has many faces.
Skillfully, they perform "Pretty Women in gray nature dress" in scenes and shine as an
elephant armada with immense animalistic radiance. Virtuoso - famoso - grandioso.

TITTO LESTER

Her is a genuine
emotion setting
cannon in the red ring.
As a comedian in the
style of Jerry Lewis
He relates hilarious
short stories
with a tendency for
absurd situations
and surprising
perspectives.
And as if that were
not enough. More
animateur than
clown, he selects
a large number of
fellow players from
the public and
plays with them.

GET THE SHOE

They enter a new world
of optical presentation
and ensure with their
club juggling for a
visual sensation in
the Kung Fu style.
An innovative karate
parody, that includes
elements of that secret
world, practicing the art
of juggling. As is
impressive are their
cascading clubs is the
fact that the two "Martial
Art - Juggling Fighters"
come not from the the far
east, but rather from Berlin.

"Hello Robbie" and their wet-merry comrades
California Seals on a mission
|
|
Roland & Petra Duss present from the Second Channel of German Television TV series
"Hello Robbie " the renown series star. And several times. Because seal ROBBIE
portrayed by four male seals: CHICO (28) the leading actor since 2001 as back-ups
TINO (14) and two relative newcomers to the bright lights JOE (7) and CHARLIE (6),
have already successfully completed their first day of filming.
Together, the four California seals provide an entertaining,
if wet performance in the manege of Circus Krone.
In a very uproarious show of fins, they balance and juggle in nostalgic style.
"The Ballacks of the Seas" plays lip football, perform a
Samba dance and master one-sided hand conditions in perfection.
But there is one who steals the show:
Terrier Max as Easy Rider on the seals' backs.

WILLER NICOLODI

Willer
Nicolodi
is the un-
crowned
"King of the
ventriloquists".
Often copied -
never duplicated.
He has
mastered
this art like
no other and
provides an
entertaining
interlude with
his original
stage show.
|
He speaks from his inner self and has his partners always firmly in grasp. Its all the same
whether its a stuffed duck or living dog. He perfects the illusion with the creation of an
second voice. He juggles sentences and performs one salto wortale after the other.
He encourages the fantasy bird TRUDY from Australia, to the delight of the audience
to sing, cough and screech. With his Pekinese, BUDAH they tease each other and
do not hide the fact he wants to teach three Krone visitors the art of ventriloquism.

MARTIN LACEY jr.

For the first time under the bright lights:
Dressage school / Young lions in domesticated wilderness
|
|
Martin Lacey Jr. grants in an instructive and an entertaining dressage
school for lions in an interesting view behind the scenes. His four favorites
already have learned how sit upright, jump, roll and how feigning a dangerous attack.
The four, three-year young lions have always displayed star qualities for the manege of
the future. Two rare snow-white lions: PRINCESS and DIAMOND and their brown,
resplendent companions CHIARA and NAMBIA, whom their animal trainer
gladly accepts as "partners on time".
P. S. n the occasion of his Italy commitment over Christmas, he was granted by
the Holy Father an audience in the Vatican. "That was a very special moment for me",
recalls Martin Lacey.
The Pope is an enthusiastic circus fan and has enormous respect for the achievement
of the artists . He was particularly moved with the antics of the mini lion, "Benedict".
Only four months old, he is the born showman in Lacey's troupe.

We see him
as Elvis Presley,
a swan lake
ballerina and as
a stressed father
- with guaranteed
laughter.

JANA MANDANA
(Germany / newly arranged for Munich)

| Selected Horse Dressage in White and Gold |
|
She offers in an impressive display of horsemanship in white and gold. Fiery-
temper-full Arabs and selected beautiful Palominos please in a dance combination
of beauty and elegance. The prance across the "stage" like proud ballerinas,
in groups of three and six, they turn, waltz and exhibit the entire range of precisely
choreographed horses dressage. Those who adore horses will love Circus Krone.
Look forward to total liberty - with twelve full-bloodied stallions resplendent in
their natural beauty and a wonderful gala show of the Jana Mandana class.

He embodies high speed
balance on the Rola Rola.
His world of unstable tubes.
As there would be neither
the laws of gravity or
muscle strain "Turbo-Man"
places up to nine unstable
tubes under his control
and demonstrates how
one can stand atop a
tower of cylinders.
A high speed pleasure
is his a master of
equilibrium as he juggles
atop eight-boards. He is
assisted by his charming
partner Edina. Stirring
action on spring like legs,
similarly excitingly as for
bankers during a financial
crisis.

The Hohhot Troupe presents
a fascinating head head
balancing act while atop
unicyclea.
Five highly talented young
ladies, attired in magnificent
traditional costumes throw
and place - plates and cups
onto their heads while
navigating the manege atop a
unicycle. In best juggling tradition
an obligatory coffee spoon.
Is placed, naturally by foot.

What sounds like a nightmare for every housewife, is in truth in a masterpiece of
eastern precision. They trained years to attain a high degree of proficiency, attested by
the accuracy of their throws and their mastery of equilibrium while catching the objects.

They display sensational balance
artistry on the high- und inclined
wire. Dare devil fireworks in the
spot light. Individually, in a duo or
carried in a spagat, they present
on several levels and different
high wires, breath-taking
artistic feats in fascinating,
choreographed magic.

An absolute show stopper is the dance on the flexible 5 meter long bar suspended
on the high wire. It's a true display of amazing equilibrium, which couldn't be more
exciting as it creates alternating tension and joy beyond the protective net.
An acrobatic masterpiece, folkloric costumes and eastern music from Aserbaidjan
combined to form a magnificent presentation, guaranteed to excite and astound
as they seemingly defy the laws of gravity.
Be amazed by the performances of seven highly talented aerial acrobats !
