Our Animals - Stud Farm Wessling

Carl Krone bought 12 hectares of land near München in 1938.
He then built the magnificent Stud Farm Wessling in a scenic country setting.

Today, the senior horses are transported from the manege to their new homes.
Presently, seven horses between 20 and 29 years of age and two mini-horses at
the advanced age of 26 occupy the stalls at the Stud Farm. Their spacious single
stalls measure 4 x 4 meters. A large paddock and a large exercise area are at
their disposal. A special bathing area was constructed, as were a water trough,
which can be heated and a feed receptacle.

Under the guidance of the renown equestrian instructors, Marc de Brosia and his partner Anja Behrendt, the horses are cared for by our personnel. The horses are treated in such a way as to make their "retirement" as pleasant as possible.
