Feeding and Leisure Time
Hallo, dear Lion fans
and a cordial welcome to my Internet-diary.
My name is Princess and
I was born 15 months ago
on a Arabian lion farm
I lived there with my mama,
aunt, grandmother and
my best friend, Diamond
until I was transferred to
Circus Krone at the
beginning on March 2007.

Those who see me know
i am very special:
Three generations have
gifted me with the color
of freshly fallen snow.
Markedly darker than I am
is Diamond whose father is
"brown". My amber colored
eyes and a light brown tail
indicate that I am not
an albino.
|
Eating is my favorite activity
I also enjoy frolicking and
playing. Later, as with most
lions, I will sleep some 16
hours a day. At the moment
everything is so exciting
and new.
Most of all, I like meat.
In particular, steaks,
nice juicy steaks.

Please observe my "baby" teeth and my long claws, which
are only exposed when I play on the "scratch tree",
just as with house cats, my smaller relatives.

I do not not often think about
my future in the circus, although
it would be nice to remain here,
as my future mate is a real
"King of the Lions". His name
is Tonga and he is as white as
I am. Twice daily, he enjoys
the applause of the spectators
in ther manège. and he wishes
himself an harem.
I already look forward to
making the acquaintance
of his 300kg manliness.

In the meantime, I have made
the acquaintance of my new
instructor.His name is Martin
Lacey Jr. and looks a little like
Elvis Presley. He spends a lot
time with Diamond and me and
spoils us to no end. We always
look forward to the time he trains
us because he praises us
("good girls") and rewards us
with chunks of meat. We will
soon see what this funny
looking "lion" wants to show us.

P.S. Our neighbor in the
adjoining stall is an exotic
animal, more specifically,
Poppäa a female.
hippopotamus.
She enjoys the full-board as
we do. My first sight the his
morning if Poppäa eating a
hearty breakfast after she has
had a refreshing bath.
Hay and carrots - hmm...
